BODY BUTTER KNOWLEDGE

Choose the Right Butter for Your Skin Type:

Body butters like Shea, Cocoa, Kokum, and Mango each have unique properties that can benefit different skin types. Shea is highly moisturizing, Cocoa is great for sensitive skin, Kokum is suitable for oily skin, and Mango offers light hydration ideal for normal to oily skin.

Best Time to Apply:
The best time to apply body butter is after a warm bath or shower when your skin is still slightly damp. This allows the butter to lock in the moisture.

Application:
Take a small amount of body butter in your hands. Warm it up between your palms until it softens, then apply it to your body using circular motions. Pay special attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees, and heels. For the face, use butters like Shea or Mango that are non-comedogenic and won’t clog pores.

Frequency:
Typically, applying body butter once a day is enough. However, in colder months or if you have extremely dry skin, you might want to apply it twice a day – once in the morning and once at night before bed.

Special Uses:
Certain body butters, like Shea, have healing properties that can help with skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis. If your skin is irritated or damaged, apply a generous layer of butter to the affected area for relief. You can also use body butters as a natural lip balm or hair conditioner.

Storage:
Store your body butter in a cool, dry place away from sunlight to maintain its consistency and prevent it from going rancid. If your body butter melts due to high temperature, stir it and place it in the refrigerator to solidify again.

Remember, a little goes a long way with body butters. Always start with a small amount and add more if necessary. Your skin should feel moisturized but not greasy. Happy hydrating!
